Hiking the Penang Hill

Penang Hill is one of the attraction in Penang. You can go there by car, train or even go up there by hiking. We went to Tanjung Bunga around 8.00 a.m. and park the car nearby the Jalan Kebun Bunga.

There are two types of hiking trail, one is the road tar trail and another one is the hiking trail near the Moongate located at the Botanical Garden.

It will take you about 30-45 minutes to go up to the rest area No 5.

Passing through the rest area, the trail becomes more steeper and it will lead you to the rest area No 84. Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I hiked, so I can't go further than rest area No 5. My condition is so bad. Hahahaha. Pardon me.

So my cousins and her friends decided that we should stop here. Meanwhile, we were relaxing at the rest area No 5 before we go back down using the same trail. My cousins said that this is her first time hiking the Penang Hill without reaching the top. I'm sorry Aliya. Hehehe

After we reach the Botanical Garden we decided to have our breakfast at the Penang Roadwalk. Kak Nad said they have the best toast bread for breakfast and the price is very reasonable.

After we had our breakfast, we decided to tour around the Penang Island.

So we decided to have food trip. First we went to have Capati near the Kapitan Road.

Then we walked to the Kapitan Restaurant and had Nan Tandoori worth RM 9.50 per set.

After we had our meal, we decided to go to Balik Pulau. Aliya said, there is one beach near the PLKN Camp. It is the Gertak Sanggul Beach.

Then we go around the island through Teluk Bahang road until Batu Ferringhi. At Batu Feringghi we had a quick bite near the Miami Beach stall. We had Laksa and Corn in the Cup with Cornflakes.

After one whole day there, we decided to go back home. I overnight at Aliya house at Bagan, Seberang Perai before I went back to Sungai Petani.
